- The Starknight -

Welcome to The Worlds, home of the legendary Starknights.

While mostly peaceful, even here evil happens and that's when they appear!

The Starknight is a 2d JRPGish turn based game about the journey of a young hero to become a Starknight.

The mood of the worlds is warm and characters are friendly and funny, yet everyone has his own story, and literal skeletons in the closet to deal with.

Heavily story focused with a free form exploration and abilities that change at every zone. The journey will take you from DontTilt Forest to the outside worlds trying to save your homeland while making new friends, visiting towns and villages, exploring dungeons, solving mysteries and gathering in your party those that will share the Starknight spirit as yourself.

The final rooster of your heroes will be a party of five. While they are all already decided the last two heroes design has not being made yet.

Born and risen in the knight's village Terra, the young open hearted man, is battle proven as he is unaware of the outside world. Fully embodying the knight's spirit his weak spot is probably he will never refuse his help at someone in need. Linked to the mysterious Terra, an ancient being, protector of the village, he displays its powers when needed and will be the one walking you through the story.

A mage lost in a forest... victim of a band of slimes... Is not someone you expect to meet everyday. Trying to reach the mysterious DonTilt Tower, the master of "Literal Summoning" and awarded the title of "Clueless Whisperer" from the Archmage, quickly becomes friend with Knight. The natural affinity is born soon since Knight loves adventures and people in need and Thornbolt, well let's just say he had a rough time and the friendly fellow helped him.

She is looking for something but what it is, is still a mystery. Unlike Knight and Thornbolt she comes from a different world. But how she came here, and why ? Their meeting will happen in DonTilt Town and be assured that the girl, with her mastery of "daydreaming" and "Fabula" will make quite the entrance!

The Prism is a gem in possession of Thornbolt that, when is in the right mood, will absorb anyone threatening the holder. So you might think a magical gem that removes from your path any threat is good, right ? Well, The Prism is not your ordinary reasonable jewel Believed to be cursed or to be alive and evil, it will pretend and sometimes impose you to fight all the collected monsters within it's world, all at once. Within The Prism you will find The Library and The Stash.

While in a an explorable zone monsters will chase you, each monster you touch will be absorbed by The Prism. Combat can be avoided by running trying to dodge but is not easy as you might think. So Terra, protector of the knights village gave you a special power: a leaf! By casting her leaf to the monsters they will be stunned in place. Another special ability that you possess, is the power to blend with your surroundings becoming nearly invisible, to blend you must stand still while a monster is chasing you. If there is not enough distance between you and the monster he will catch up to you and The Prism will absorb it, otherwise it will just leave.

Battles in The Prism are turn based, each team will have its turn, and during their turn all the members will perform an action. Enemies in the prism comes in waves and are fought in the order The Prism absorbed them. Once you enter combat you can't leave the battle until you... defeat the last wave.

A game made with love and passion! The dedication I have for The Starknight takes my all self, and I am giving it all to the game to make it the best I can. Yet, like Thornbolt's "Literal Summoning", the game is literally made with LÖVE the 2d framework. This means I will be available for different platforms. At launch for Linux and Windows and later Mac will join, and may be Switch ? The game will be available on Gog, Steam, and Itch.io. Also The Starknight is "toaster friendly", your old PC with Windows 7 should be able to play it with no issues!
